Qalat terrorist operation
Pakistan’s security forces have killed eight terrorists during an intelligence-based operation conducted in Qalat district, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ISPR said the operation was launched after receiving credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan in the area. During the operation, security personnel effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in a fierce exchange of fire.
The ISPR confirmed that eight terrorists were neutralized in the encounter. A cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the killed militants, indicating their involvement in terrorist activities in the region.
The statement added that security forces remain committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country. A sanitization operation is being carried out in the area to ensure that no other terrorists are present.
Pakistan’s security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations across the country as part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability, particularly in Balochistan.
