Security forces have eliminated seven terrorists in two separate encounters in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The security forces carried out these successful operations in the Daraban and Maddi regions of the district.
The first operation took place in the Daraban area, where intelligence reports suggested the presence of terrorists. The security forces launched an operation targeting the terrorists, known as Khwarij. During the encounter, four terrorists were killed. The ISPR reported that the terrorists were heavily involved in various terror activities in the region.
Later, another clash occurred in Maddi, where three more terrorists were killed. The security forces not only neutralized these militants but also seized weapons and ammunition from them. These terrorists were suspected of being behind several terrorist activities in the area.
The ISPR mentioned that security forces are continuing sanitization operations to clear any remaining terrorists. Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eradicating terrorism from the country.
Following the successful operations, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his praise for the security forces. He acknowledged their bravery in neutralizing the terrorists and emphasized that these operations would continue until terrorism is completely wiped out from the country.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also commended the security forces for their decisive actions against terrorism. He vowed that the enemies of peace would not succeed, and that the fight against terrorism would persist until it is fully eradicated.
