Security Forces Target Indian-Sponsored Khawarij Network to Protect Civilians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Security forces in Pakistan have launched intelligence-based operations in multiple areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to dismantle the Indian-sponsored Khawarij terror network and ensure the safety of civilians.

According to official sources, these targeted operations are aimed at eradicating terrorism and protecting the general public. However, facilitators of the terrorists have begun spreading false propaganda against the operations to mislead the local population.

The presence of Khawarij militants in the region has been confirmed through a jirga in Bajaur held between local elders and members of the Khawarij. It became evident that the militants have been able to operate in various areas of KP due to support from local facilitators. Residents have expressed growing distress over these elements and demand their removal from their communities.

Several incidents have exposed the violent and anti-civilian nature of the Khawarij group. In Mir Ali, North Waziristan, the militants used a drone to bomb a house, killing innocent children and women. In Tirah, they fired from behind mountains on a peaceful protest, creating chaos and fear. In Bajaur, Khawarij fighters have been using civilians as human shields and launching mortar attacks on homes, causing injuries. In Lakki Marwat, a local citizen was killed after a Khawarij-fired mortar exploded.

Furthermore, disturbing reports have emerged of Khawarij efforts to radicalize innocent children and lure them into violent extremism and militancy. This poses a grave threat to the future of the next generation.

In light of these developments, Pakistan’s security institutions have intensified their operations to neutralize the Khawarij threat and shield ordinary citizens from the influence and brutality of this Indian-sponsored extremist outfit.
