A fresh case of Dera Bugti abduction shook Balochistan on Friday. Seven security men, including three police officers and four Levies personnel, were seized by unknown gunmen. The incident took place when the men were returning home after completing their duties.
According to the district administration, efforts for their safe recovery began without delay. A search operation is already underway to locate the kidnapped personnel. Officials stressed that all available resources are being used to trace the abductors.
In a separate incident, violence erupted in Kalat’s Sheikh Haji area. Two men were gunned down by unidentified attackers. The victims were later identified as Sajjad Ahmad and Mazar Khan.
As soon as the report reached the authorities, a heavy police force arrived at the site. The bodies were quickly shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Kalat. Investigations into both attacks are ongoing, as security forces intensify patrols across the troubled region.
