Four personnel were killed instantly. Three others, critically wounded in the ambush, died during treatment on Monday. The fallen soldiers were identified as Sepoy Rahat Khan, Sepoy Ishrat, Sepoy Sanaullah, and Havaldar Naseeb. All served with the Orakzai Scouts, a paramilitary force dedicated to counterterrorism operations in the region.

In immediate retaliation, security forces returned fire and neutralized four suspected terrorists. Officials stated that the area remains under tight security as a search operation is underway to track down any remaining militants.
