LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has indicted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday in connection with the 9 May arson case.
Qureshi, initially booked at Shadman Police Station, faced charges including arson.
He was transferred under tight security from Adiala Jail to Lahore this morning for the indictment proceedings.
The ATC conducted the hearing against Shah Mehmood Qureshi at Kot Lakhpat Jail and formally charged him in the encroachment case. The court adjourned further proceedings until July 22, summoning witnesses for the upcoming hearing.
