PM Shehbaz Sharif Increases Laptop Quota and Scholarships for Balochistan Students
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has raised the laptop distribution quota for students in public universities across Balochistan. from. In a move aimed at empowering youth through technology and education quota for students of Balochostan is increased from 14% to 18%, . This decision was made on the recommendation of Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhail.
In addition to the expanded quota, 3,000 scholarships and internships have been granted to students from the province, providing opportunities for both academic and professional growth. The announcement was made by Rana Mashhood, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, during the 20th convocation of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS).
BUITEMS Convocation Highlights Education Reforms
The convocation, attended by 700 graduates, was presided over by Governor Mandokhail, who lauded the federal government for its focus on Balochistan’s educational development. He highlighted how these initiatives aim to bridge the gap between urban and rural education.
“These measures not only support students financially but also equip them with resources to excel academically and professionally. The scholarships and laptops will empower students to compete on equal footing with their peers nationwide,” said the governor.
These steps underline the government’s dedication to fostering growth and addressing the educational disparities in Balochistan.
