KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has announced his retirement from the Pakistan Super League (PSL), bringing an end to a decade-long association with the country’s premier T20 tournament.
The all-rounder shared the decision through a message on social media, saying that playing in the PSL for 10 years has been a memorable and proud journey for him.
“Time has come to say goodbye to the Pakistan Super League,”
Malik said, adding that his passion for cricket will always remain strong despite stepping away from the league.
The veteran cricketer also thanked the PSL management, franchise teams and fans for their unwavering support over the years, describing his time in the league as one of the most meaningful chapters of his career.
Shoaib Malik has been one of the most experienced players in PSL history, contributing both as a senior player and mentor to younger cricketers during the league’s early and growth years.
