Sindh govt to launch Youth Card for education, jobs and sports

The Sindh government has begun preparations to introduce a Youth Card aimed at supporting young people across the province with education, employment and sports opportunities.

An important meeting on the proposed Sindh Youth Card was held at the Sindh Secretariat under the chairmanship of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar. The session was attended by Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar, Director Asad Ishaq, Chief Engineer Muhammad Aslam Mahar and other officials.

Officials gave a detailed briefing on the design and rollout of the Youth Card during the meeting.

The provincial minister directed the sports secretary to develop a mechanism ensuring maximum benefits for the youth population. He said the initiative should be structured in a way that reaches the largest number of young people in the province.

Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar said the Sindh Youth Card is planned to be launched before June this year on the special instructions of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He added that the card will provide facilities related to education, skills development, employment, scholarships and sports to empower the province’s youth.
