MIR ALI: In the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at least six barbers were killed by unidentified armed men.
According to the police, the barbers, who plied their trade in the local bazaar, were abducted a day before their dead bodies were discovered in a nearby area on Tuesday, as confirmed by the police.
A thorough police investigation has been launched to apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime.
This distressing event comes on the heels of another tragedy in North Waziristan, where unidentified gunmen targeted five sleeping laborers in Wana. Engaged in the construction of a police station, the laborers were attacked while resting in their tent at night. The assailants fled the scene after fatally shooting five laborers and injuring a watchman.
The victims hailed from the Burki tribe of Shikai and the Wazir tribe of Suparkai. Their bodies have been subjected to post-mortem examination at the hospital, and the South Waziristan Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding these killings.
