ISLAMABAD: A private airline flight from Islamabad to Skardu narrowly avoided an accident.
According to media reports, the plane encountered a technical problem immediately after take-off from Islamabad.
The landing gear of flight PA-251 failed to retract after take-off. The captain promptly contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC), but due to an uncleared runway, the aircraft had to circle the Islamabad airspace twice before landing safely.
Subsequently, the flight was cancelled.
