Security forces successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan. The operation, carried out on the night between December 24 and 25, resulted in the elimination of 13 terrorists.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was initiated based on credible intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. The ISPR revealed that the neutralized terrorists were involved in multiple attacks targeting security forces and civilians.
“This operation demonstrates the security forces’ steadfast commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan,” the ISPR said. Following the engagement, a thorough sanitization operation was launched to ensure no remaining militants were hiding in the vicinity.
The ISPR reaffirmed the dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces to restoring peace and eliminating terrorism across the country.
Leadership Commends the Forces
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the bravery and determination of the security forces after the successful operation.
Prime Minister Sharif, in his statement on Wednesday, lauded the fearless soldiers for their devotion to protecting the nation. “The fight against terrorism will continue until every terrorist and their networks are destroyed,” he emphasized. He also assured that the government remains resolute in countering the malicious agendas of enemies of humanity.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed pride in the security forces for conducting a timely and precise operation. He commended their courage and determination in combating terrorism. “The people of Pakistan stand united with the armed forces. Together, we will completely eliminate terrorism,” Naqvi stated. He highlighted the nation’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by the armed forces.
