SWABI: Two students of a religious seminary (madrasa) slit the throat of their teacher in the Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.
According to the police, the incident occurred in the Marghuz area of Swabi, where the lifeless body of a teacher from Zubairiya Madrasa, identified as Noor-ul-Haq, was found in a room at the madrasa.
Police stated that they registered a First Information Report (FIR) against two students after they were nominated by the brother of the deceased teacher.
In his statement, he informed the police that students Asadullah and Abdul Rashid killed his brother with a sharp-edged weapon and then fled the scene. However, the motive behind the murder is not yet known.
The brother of the deceased mentioned that Noor-ul-Haq had been teaching at Zubairiya Madrasa in Marghz, Swabi, for the past nine months.
After registering the FIR, the police conducted an operation and apprehended one suspect. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of the teacher, and an investigation has been initiated, the police said.
Police mentioned that after interrogation, they will be able to share the reason for his killing.
