LAHORE: A police sub-inspector was shot dead by unidentified attackers on Saturday. The incident occurred when Sub-Inspector Arshad was heading home after his duty, near the Misri Shah area of Lahore, according to police sources.
Arshad sustained three gunshot wounds, which proved fatal. An investigation into the attack has been launched by the police.
Earlier in Samanabad area of Lahore, a police officer shot and killed a woman before taking his own life.
Reports suggest that the officer, identified as Asad, fatally shot the woman before committing suicide.
Authorities disclosed that the victim’s husband resides abroad, while Asad is unmarried. However, investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the tragic incident.
