Quetta: Several surrendered terrorist commanders addressed a press conference alongside Balochistan’s provincial ministers and the DIG CTD. They announced their surrender to the state of Pakistan and renounced their association with various terrorist organizations.
Prominent figures among the surrendered commanders include Najibullah, also known as Darwish and Adam, and Abdul Rashid, also known as Khudaidad and Kamash. Speaking at the event, Najibullah admitted to causing significant harm to Pakistan and its security forces. He revealed that separatist organizations exploited the emotions of the Baloch people to incite rebellion against Pakistan. “I joined the organization at the young age of 14. Hatred for Pakistan was deeply instilled in me,” Najibullah confessed. “Due to my lack of awareness, I caused immense harm to the state.”
Najibullah disclosed his interactions with a neighboring country’s intelligence agency. He said, “I presented many suggestions to them, but they reprimanded me. They clearly told me they had no interest in Baloch freedom. Their sole agenda was to destabilize Pakistan.” This realization shattered his belief in the separatist cause and made him see the truth.
He further criticized the so-called leaders of Baloch freedom movements, stating, “These leaders live luxurious lives abroad while the fighters in the mountains lack even basic necessities like food and medicine. They use innocent Baloch for their own selfish agendas while their children pursue higher education abroad.”
Najibullah described the armed Baloch movement as a disorganized gang war, plagued by internal conspiracies and personal rivalries. He mentioned that senior and junior commanders were engaged in internal killings. Highlighting divisions within these groups, he pointed out the conflict between Harbyar Marri and Mehran Marri. He revealed that the split led to the formation of the UBA from the BLA. This rivalry often resulted in ordinary Baloch people being killed, while the leaders remained unaffected.
Provincial Minister Zahoor Ahmed Buledi also spoke at the event. He condemned the ongoing terrorism in Balochistan, saying, “Terrorist handlers manipulate innocent children, showing them false dreams and luring them into the mountains. The government welcomes those who surrender and offers them a chance to reintegrate into society.”
Another surrendered terrorist commander, Abdul Rashid, shared his story. He said, “In 2009, BLF commander Abid Imran influenced me. His words changed my mind, and I joined the group. I am happy to have returned now.”
Jangiz Khan, another commander, shared his ordeal. “I am only eighteen years old and come from a poor family. I worked as a laborer and struggled financially. A BLA commander approached me, promising money, and convinced me to join the organization. My friends and I agreed due to our circumstances.”
