Suryakumar Yadav Says Wait 24 Hours for Handshake vs Pakistan

Suryakumar Yadav has said that fans should “wait 24 hours for the handshake” ahead of the high-voltage Pakistan-India clash, stressing that his team is focused on playing good cricket.

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup encounter, the Indian captain said preparations for the Pakistan match were going according to schedule.

He described the contest as “just a game,” adding that India regularly plays competitive cricket and will aim to deliver its best performance against Pakistan.

Suryakumar Yadav said his side has come to play positive cricket and will focus on executing its plans under pressure. Responding to a question about greeting Pakistani players, he remarked that everyone should wait until match day to see what happens.

The Indian skipper also spoke about Pakistan’s bowling attack, noting that spinner Usman Tariq is a different kind of cricketer but insisted that India will not back down and has prepared strategies to counter Pakistan’s spin threat.

He acknowledged that Pakistan played good cricket in the Asia Cup and continues to perform well. He added that Pakistan-India matches always carry intense pressure, and players must stay calm to perform at their best.

Suryakumar Yadav concluded by saying the team will focus on rest and preparation, urging fans to wait until the match to see the outcome.
