A Tank firing incident claimed two lives on Friday when unidentified armed men opened fire in the Jandola sub-division, killing the brother of a former peace committee chief along with another man. Police confirmed the attack took place in the area, prompting an immediate investigation into the killings.
According to police sources, the gunmen targeted two individuals identified as Sangri and Aziz-ur-Rehman, who died at the scene from their injuries.
Rescue Teams Respond to Tank Firing Incident
Following reports of the shooting, Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the location and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital for further procedures.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and launched an investigation aimed at tracking down the attackers and determining the motive behind the firing. Authorities said efforts are ongoing to identify those responsible and establish whether the killings were linked to the victims’ ties to the former peace committee.
