Star player Shaheen Afridi also arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore in a bulletproof vehicle, departing for Dubai on an international flight.
Following a practice session tomorrow, the national team’s first warm-up match is set to take place on September 29 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that this match will be held “behind closed doors,” in accordance with the advice of local security agencies. This decision is prompted by expectations of large gatherings in Ahmedabad on the day of the Pakistan-India match.
Local law enforcement has reassured that they will take all necessary measures to fulfill the security requirements set by the ICC for the 2023 World Cup.
