Terror Attacks in April Drop Sharply as Security Operations Show Results in Pakistan

Terror attacks in April saw a sharp decline across Pakistan, showing clear signs that ongoing security operations are working. Official figures reveal that incidents dropped by 42 percent compared to March, marking a major improvement in the country’s security situation.

A total of 85 attacks were recorded nationwide in April, down from 146 in the previous month. This fall reflects the growing impact of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, as security forces stepped up efforts against militant groups.

During the same period, forces carried out targeted actions and eliminated 224 militants. The number of deaths linked to these incidents also fell noticeably. In April, 67 people lost their lives, compared to 106 in March.

Among the victims were 28 security personnel and 37 civilians. Two members of local peace committees were also killed. Nearly 100 people were injured in different attacks, including 54 civilians and 46 members of the security forces.

Officials say the drop in terror attacks in April highlights the effectiveness of coordinated action by the Pakistan Armed Forces. They believe continued pressure on militant networks is helping restore stability in affected areas.

While challenges remain, the latest data offers hope that the situation is improving. Authorities remain focused on maintaining this downward trend and preventing any resurgence of violence.
