Security forces have foiled a major terror plot in Panjgur, Balochistan, through timely and intelligence-based action, security sources said.
The operation was carried out in the Jirak area of Panjgur district after authorities received secret intelligence about the planned attack.
During the raid, security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons and communication equipment from a vehicle. Officials also seized four rocket fuses and multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
According to security officials, the materials were being prepared for a possible large-scale terrorist attack in the region.
They said the swift and professional response of security forces prevented a major tragedy and saved the area from serious destruction.
Security sources added that the successful operation highlights the continued role of security forces as a strong barrier against anti-peace elements in Balochistan.
