A sharp rise in terrorist activity has shaken Balochistan during the first half of 2025. Deadly attacks have left more than 60 people martyred and hundreds wounded. A security report compiled by official and intelligence sources reveals the alarming situation.
According to the report, Indian-backed terror groups, known to law enforcement as Fitna-ul-Hindustan, have escalated their operations. The violence is spreading across the province with increasing frequency and brutality.
One of the deadliest incidents occurred on February 14. A powerful bomb exploded in Harnai district. The blast struck a vehicle carrying local workers. Eleven people were martyred instantly in this horrific act of militancy.
Just a few weeks later, on March 11, the Jafar Express came under attack. Indian proxies reportedly targeted the passenger train. The explosion claimed 31 innocent lives, making it one of the worst tragedies this year.
May brought more bloodshed. On the 21st of the month, a suicide bomber hit a school bus in Khuzdar. The attacker killed 10 people, including eight schoolchildren.
Less than a week later, on May 27, violence struck again. A polio team operating in Nushki was attacked. A police constable assigned to protect the health workers was martyred in the assault.
The cycle of violence continued into July. On July 1, armed militants launched a coordinated strike in Mastung. They targeted a local police station and a nearby bank. One civilian was killed. Nine others were injured, including children.
Two days ago, the most recent massacre took place. Militants intercepted a passenger bus in Loralai. The attackers forced travelers off the vehicle. They executed nine of them on the spot.
Security officials confirmed that law enforcement is responding. So far this year, 23 members of the Fitna-ul-Hindustan network have been killed during armed clashes. The state continues its efforts to counter this wave of terrorist activity.
This string of attacks reflects a deepening crisis. The increase in militant operations poses a serious threat to peace and stability in the region. Authorities are on high alert as terrorist activity shows no sign of slowing down.
