PESHAWAR: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar restated his dedication to removing any elements opposing the state.
He clarified that the policy regarding Afghan refugees is straightforward, with plans to send those staying illegally back to their countries.
Addressing talks with the TTP, Kakar dismissed rumors, emphasizing that the state’s authority will be upheld at any cost. And there will be no negotiation with anti-state elements. He affirmed that the security of the country will not be compromised.
Regarding the upcoming general elections, the Prime Minister stated that the Election Commission of Pakistan will set the schedule. The interim government will conduct elections within constitutional limits.
He expressed hope for a reduction in petroleum prices to alleviate the public. Highlighting economic improvements, Kakar mentioned a reduction of four thousand billion rupees in foreign debts due to the strengthening of the rupee against the dollar.
Furthermore, he assured that all registered political parties with the Election Commission of Pakistan will participate in the general elections.
Earlier, Governor KPK Haji Ghulam Ali and Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan briefed the Prime Minister on various matters, including the law and order situation.
Kakar assured that the federal government will offer support to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the welfare of the public.
