NEW DELHI: The release of Pakistani blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, has been delayed in India’s Punjab. The film’s distributor, Nadeem Mandviwalla, confirmed that an Indian court issued a stay order, halting its screening.
Though Zee India had collaborated for the film’s release, resistance from certain political groups and parties led to legal action. Mandviwalla believes that once the film is cleared for release, it will mark a significant step forward for Pakistan’s film industry and likely be a hit in Indian Punjab.
