PESHAWAR: Three teachers were suspended for seating students on ground during classes in Peshawar. An inquiry has been initiated into the matter.
District Education Officer of Peshawar (DEO) suspended three school teachers of Government primary school number 2, number 3 and number 4 of seating students instead of classrooms.
After the schools reopened following the holidays, District Education Officer of Peshawar (DEO) took action to ensure students were provided with proper facilities.
The DEO mentioned that although schools had Rs 50,000 funds in PCT account, students were still being too made sit on the ground instead of being providing mats or proper seating.
Additionally, a new system has been introduced to address the issue of absentee teachers and over 6,000 ghost teachers have been identified in Sindh Education Department.
According to DEO Peshawar, the academic year has started but the facilities have not provided to the students in the schools yet, an inquiry has been started against the all-suspended teachers.
