PESHAWAR: At least three terrorists were killed in two intelligence-based operations by the security forces conducted in Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan, said the Inter-Services Public Relations on Tuesday.
In the first operation, conducted in the Kulachi area of DI Khan on Monday, two terrorists were killed following a significant exchange of gunfire. Another operation in Kot Azam, South Waziristan, resulted in the death of one more terrorist.
The ISPR stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered from all three terrorists, who were actively involved in various terrorist activities against both security forces and innocent civilians.
Regrettably, in a separate incident, an army official lost his life in Gharyoum, North Waziristan, due to a blast from an Improvised Explosive Device. The deceased, identified as 26-year-old Sepoy Shahzeb from Rawalpindi, fell victim to the attack.
The ISPR also mentioned ongoing sanitization operations aimed at locating any other terrorists who may still be hiding in the area.
