Khwarijs has once again struck fear into the hearts of locals in the Tirah Valley. On May 23, 2025, in the Zangi Kalli area of Malik Deen Khel, three young men were abducted and later murdered in cold blood.
According to local sources and district administration, the militants handed over the bodies riddled with bullets to the grieving families. The victims were identified as Naveed son of Sher Ghulam, Ibrahim son of Dr. Masawir, and Samad son of Piaw Gul.
All three youths were abducted two days earlier. On Friday morning, they were taken to an undisclosed location and executed in a most savage manner.
Naveed was the only brother to several sisters and the sole breadwinner for his parents. Ibrahim had just been married two weeks ago. Samad was known in the community as a respectful and promising young man.
Their senseless killing has plunged the entire region into mourning. The families are devastated. Tribespeople are enraged over the brutal Tirah Valley killings.
This latest act of terror has ignited public fury. Tribal elders and residents are demanding immediate action. They have called on the government and security forces to arrest the perpetrators without delay and restore peace in the region.
It is worth noting that in recent months, security forces have eliminated many Khwarijs militants in successful operations. As a result, the group appears to be retaliating through cowardly and vicious acts like this.
