PESHAWAR: Local authorities in Peshawar have reported the arrest of an individual for exhibiting weapons in his TikTok videos.
According to reports, the police detained a man named Shakil for showcasing firearms on social media.
The accused was observed creating TikTok content in various localities of Peshawar.
A case has been filed against the suspect at Shahpur police station, and the firearm featured in the videos has been confiscated from the accused.
Furthermore, a video has surfaced on several social media platforms showing the accused expressing remorse for displaying weapons.
In the previous year, law enforcement arrested a TikTok user in Lahore’s Mughalpura area for openly showcasing weapons on a widely used video-sharing platform.
According to information, the individual uploaded a video on TikTok featuring the public display of firearms. Following the video’s widespread circulation on the popular video-sharing platform, the police apprehended the suspect.
In accordance with the nation’s firearm regulations, publicly exhibiting weapons constitutes an offense and is punishable by a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
