ISLAMABAD: Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Vice Emir Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah was arrested on Monday for inciting violence against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.
The arrest followed the lodging of a First Information Report (FIR) at Lahore’s Qila Gujjar Singh police station by Station House Officer (SHO) Hammad Hussain.
The case has been registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act and includes provisions for spreading religious hatred, sedition, intimidating the higher judiciary, and interfering with and obstructing statutory duties.
According to the FIR, the suspect threatened and spread hatred against the judiciary during a protest outside the press club.
