WASHINGTON: Tom Suozzi has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Pakistan Caucus in the US Congress, succeeding Sheila Jackson, who recently passed away.
In an interview with international media, Suozzi expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States and conveyed his enthusiasm for leading the Pakistan Caucus.
Suozzi announced plans to visit Pakistan in November and expressed his support with the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad.”
Pakistan’s new Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, held a phone conversation with Suozzi to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. Sheikh emphasized the importance of Pakistan-US relations for both nations and the region and expressed readiness to strengthen economic ties.
