Quetta: Train services from Balochistan to other parts of the country have once again been suspended due to security concerns.
According to railway officials, all train operations from Quetta have been suspended for one day as a precautionary measure. The decision was taken in view of potential security threats along railway routes.
Officials confirmed that the Jaffar Express, which operates from Quetta to Peshawar, did not depart today. Similarly, the Bolan Mail, running between Quetta and Karachi, was also cancelled.
In addition, the Chaman Passenger Train, which connects the provincial capital with the border city of Chaman, remained suspended for the day.
Railway authorities stated that train services from Balochistan are expected to resume as per normal schedule from tomorrow, provided the security situation improves.
