Trump Praises Pakistan Leadership for Key Role in US-Iran Talks

US President Donald Trump has openly said that he praises Pakistan leadership for its role in bringing the United States and Iran to the negotiating table. He appreciated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for helping create a space where both sides could talk in a calm and structured way.

The talks in Islamabad lasted more than 21 hours and included several rounds of direct discussions. Trump said the process was well organised and involved experts from both sides. He noted that written proposals were exchanged, which helped move the dialogue forward. His remarks show how much he praises Pakistan leadership for managing such a sensitive diplomatic effort.

US Vice President JD Vance, who led the American team, also spoke highly of Pakistan’s role. He said Islamabad played an important part in keeping the discussions on track. Iranian officials also thanked Pakistan and called it a friendly country that supported meaningful dialogue.

The negotiations focused on major issues like Iran’s nuclear programme, sanctions, frozen assets, and regional security. While both sides did not reach a final deal, officials described the talks as serious and productive. Trump said some progress was made, but concerns about Iran’s nuclear plans remain.

At the same time, Trump repeated his stance on the Strait of Hormuz. He stressed that global shipping routes must stay open and secure. He warned that any threat to safe passage would be dealt with firmly.

Even after the talks ended, both sides agreed to keep communication open. As discussions continue, Trump praises Pakistan leadership for helping reduce tensions and keeping diplomacy alive during a difficult time.
