LAHORE: In a series of operations across various cities in Punjab, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has apprehended 10 individuals suspected of terrorism.
According to officials, a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander named Qasim Afghani, along with four associates, was arrested. Authorities revealed that Qasim Afghani had devised a plan for a terrorist activity.
Additionally, five other alleged terrorists were detained in Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha. The arrested individuals were found in possession of explosive materials, hand grenades, weapons, mobile phones, and cash.
Officials emphasized that these terrorists had intentions to target sensitive installations. Over the past week, the CTD reported a total of 225 suspects arrested in 359 combing operations.
