FAISALABAD: At least two dacoits were killed and a police officer embraced martyrdom in exchange of fire in Faisalabad on Saturday morning.
According to media reports, the robbers were fleeing after snatching batteries from a mobile phone shop when the policemen reached.
Seeing the police, the robbers opened fire and martyred 50 year-old Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Shafqat Ali.
In retaliation, the police killed two dacoits.
The police also arrested a robber in injured condition who was shifted to undisclosed place after medical assistance.
