PESHAWAR— At least two persons including a woman were injured when an explosive device exploded outside the councillor’s house in Kohati Gate.
According to police, the explosives were planted near the gate of the house which exploded, damaging the gate of the house and also shattering the windows of nearby houses.
Police arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area and launched an investigation. The injured were shifted to a hospital where they will be discharged after first aid as their condition is out of danger.
According to police, 0.45 kilogram of explosives were used.
Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has taken notice of the blast and demanded a report from police officials.
