Two More PTI Leaders Quit Party After Alleged Disappearance

Former Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi and former provincial minister Malik Taimur Masood, who were  allegedly disappeared by unknown persons Wednesday night, left Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday.

Abbasi took to X to announce his decision, saying, “My political career aimed at serving the people, but now it is unbearable to hold the burden of confrontation with the state and its institutions. Therefore, I announce to quit and leave politics and PTI. I defy all violent acts against the state institutions and narratives that mislead the whole nation by PTI. Long live Pakistan!”

Meanwhile, Malik Taimoor Masood, another former PTI MPA from Taxila, has also announced to quit politics and PTI.

In his message on the micro-blogging website X, Masood wrote: “After serving 15 years in public, I have decided to leave politics and PTI. He said it is not possible to continue confrontation politics with instigations.

“I condemn any sort of confrontation and acts of violence against the state institutions,” he concluded.
