D.I.KHAN: In a disturbing incident last night, Hathala Police Station in D.I.Khan fell victim to an assault by an unidentified terrorist group. The attack, involving grenades and heavy weapons, claimed the life of one police officer and left two others, identified as Hanif, Saeed Mumtaz, and Wakeel Zada.
Tragically, one of the wounded officers succumbed to severe injuries in the hospital, while the other two are currently undergoing treatment. The fallen officer hailed from the Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The attack’s aftermath revealed the destruction of the police station gate, and the perpetrators managed to escape successfully, adding another layer of concern to the situation. The incident underscores the challenges law enforcement faces and the need for continued efforts to ensure public safety.
