Two soldiers martyred in North Waziristan attack

NORTH WAZIRISTAN— Two soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred in terrorists attack in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, terrorists attacked security forces checkpost in Mir Ali tehsil of the North Waziristan. As result, two soldiers, deployed at the check post embraced Martyrdom.

“Troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location,” it added.
The soldiers were identified as Sepoy Zahoor Khan, 20, the resident of Lower Dir and Sep Rahim Gul, 23 the resident of Abbottabad.

A clearance operation was launched in the area after the attack.

Its is worth mentioning here that, since the Afghan Taliban’s return to power, the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) looks stronger than before and ramped up its attacks on Pakistani security forces from its sanctuaries in Afghanistan. Alone in first four months of the current year, a total of 111 soldiers and officers had embraced martyrdom in the terror attacks in parts of the country.
