Unknown gunmen attacked a private ambulance on Circular Road in Bannu, killing four people on the spot. The incident has raised serious concerns about security in the area.
According to police, unidentified armed men opened fire on the ambulance of a private welfare organization. The vehicle was moving through the area when it came under heavy gunfire. All four people inside the ambulance died instantly, while the attackers managed to escape from the scene.
Police later shifted the bodies to a hospital for post-mortem examination. An initial report has been registered, and a full investigation has been launched to identify and arrest those responsible.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police. He called the killing of innocent civilians deeply tragic and said that those involved will be brought to justice.
