ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador Donald Blome visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was welcomed by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. This visit came in the wake of a National Assembly resolution opposing a recent resolution by the US House of Representatives during the National Economic Budget 2024-25 session.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson confirmed that Ambassador Blome and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, including a review of the current situation and progress in mutual cooperation. The discussions also explored avenues to enhance and strengthen bilateral ties.
Sources indicated that the meeting addressed concerns over the recent resolution passed by the US Congress, expressing reservations and seeking a constructive path forward in US-Pakistan relations.
