Washington: The US State Department’s spokesperson, Matthew Miller, stated on Monday that the United States is closely monitoring reports alleging the involvement of the Indian government in the killings of Pakistani citizens.
During a media briefing in Washington, Miller mentioned that they have been keeping an eye on media reports regarding this matter but refrained from elaborating further. He emphasized the need for both Pakistan and India to avoid escalation and instead seek resolution through dialogue.
Responding to questions about the telephonic conversation between Secretary of State Blinken and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Miller mentioned that Secretary Blinken spoke with Pakistan’s foreign minister on Friday to reaffirm their strong partnership, which contributes to the prosperity of both countries.
He highlighted that during the call, Blinken and Dar discussed the importance of continued cooperation in counterterrorism efforts, expanding trade and investment partnerships, and promoting women’s economic security and empowerment.
