US senate approves new ambassador to Pakistan

WASHINGTON: Senate of United States Saturday ratified the appointment of David Hill as new ambassador to Pakistan.
President Obama appointed David Hill as an ambassador to Pakistan in March 2015. However, he will take charge after the completion of Richard G. Olson’s tenure.
Newly-elected ambassador has also served his duties as Ambassador to both Jordan and Lebanon while he has also worked as US special envoy for Middle East.
