Measurable success achieved through regional recalibration of foreign policy: Dastgir

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khurram Dastagir Khan termed the recent tweet of the US President Donald Trump as a view of extremism and said that no one should give deadline to Pakistan as it was an independent state.
In a befitting reply to Trump’s statement during an interview to a foreign news website, Dastgir said America should work together with Pakistan for the development of the region instead of saying ‘do more’ and ‘no more’.
No hideouts of militants were in Pakistan as they were being eliminated by Pakistan army in operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, he claimed.
The minister further asked US to give details of terrorists in Pakistan so that the national security forces can hold operation there. He said that Pakistan is economically stable now and can support its armed forces.
He also clarified that US could not fight the Afghan war on Pakistan‘s soil.
Khurram Dastgir Khan claimed that the US had given Pakistan “nothing but invective and mistrust”, and added that US officials “overlook cross-border safe havens of terrorists who murder Pakistanis”.
Earlier, Donald Trump categorically said “no more” aid to Pakistan in his recent tweet.
The US President wrote that they foolishly gave over 33 billion dollars in aid to Pakistan over the past 15 years.
He slammed Pakistan for only providing lies and deceit in reaction.
