However, if the USA loses and Pakistan manages to defeat Ireland in their final match, Babar Azam’s team, currently ranked third on the points table with just two points, will secure a spot in the Super 8s. In the case of a draw, it would end Pakistan’s journey in the World Cup, favoring the USA for the Super-8.
