Vietnam Embassy Officials Visit Khyber Network, Eye Ties

Two senior Vietnam Embassy officials visited Khyber Network in Pakistan, accompanied by Syed Usman Tahir, Advisor to the Federal Culture Minister of Pakistan. The visit was organised in collaboration with the Pakistan Creative Economy Culture & Trade Council (PCECTC), which Mr. Tahir founded.

The visiting Vietnam Embassy officials were Mr. Truong Van Thang, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duc, First Secretary in the embassy’s Political/Economic Section. Syed Usman Tahir stayed with the delegation throughout the meeting, tying the visit directly to the council’s work on culture, trade and the creative economy.

Kaiwan Hamid Raja, Executive Director of Khyber Network, welcomed the guests and gave them a detailed briefing on the network. He explained how Khyber Network operates, the work it carries out, and the direction it is taking.

The briefing gave the diplomats a close look at the network’s activities and its place in Pakistan’s media and creative landscape. It also gave both sides a chance to discuss where their interests overlap.

The makeup of the delegation suggests this was more than a courtesy call. With the Deputy Head of Mission and a political and economic officer attending, the visit points to interest in practical engagement between the two sides.

PCECTC’s involvement added weight to that. The council works at the point where cultural exchange meets trade, which is where much of the future of Pakistan-Vietnam relations is likely to be built.

Meetings like this help two countries connect beyond formal diplomacy. For Khyber Network, hosting the Vietnam Embassy officials creates a direct link with a mission that follows Pakistan’s cultural and economic activity closely.
