In a recent viral video on social media, three individuals claiming to be members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have alleged they were instructed to incite chaos during PTI’s latest protest, which began in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and concluded in Islamabad.
Each individual provided details of their purported roles, which included carrying out acts of violence and disruption.
One of the individuals stated that he was handed a bottle of petrol with instructions to set fires in the surrounding areas during the protest.
Another person, reportedly from Kohat, mentioned that he had no prior knowledge of the overall plan; he claimed he was simply asked to accompany the others and follow their directions.
The third individual claimed he was given several petrol bombs with orders to throw them at various targets or individuals.
These statements surfaced following a PTI-led protest that began on Friday from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and ended in Islamabad.
The situation escalated, and despite the heated circumstances, PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur reportedly left the scene, making his way back to Peshawar without apparent concern for the safety of his followers.
Gandapur reappeared at the KPK Assembly in Peshawar, where he claimed that Islamabad’s administration had planned to arrest him.
He added that he had evaded capture by traveling on foot and by motorcycle from Islamabad to Peshawar.
The recent events have prompted speculation, particularly as PTI had previously been involved in significant disturbances on May 9, which resulted in widespread vandalism and disruption in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
This latest incident has led to further scrutiny of PTI’s tactics and raised questions about the party’s approach to protests and demonstrations.
The allegations made in the video are yet to be officially investigated, but they add to the growing controversy surrounding PTI’s protest activities.
