Senior Team Manager of the National Team, Wahab Riaz, has issued a defamation notice to anchor Mubasher Luqman, seeking Rs500 million in damages. This action follows similar notices sent by cricketer Babar Azam over match-fixing allegations and claims made against the national team and several players.
Mubasher Luqman had accused Wahab Riaz and his late father of match-fixing, referring to Wahab Riaz’s father as a ‘bookie’ who allegedly arranged matches in advance.
In addition to Babar Azam and Sayaa Corporation, Azhar Mehmood has also sent a legal notice to Mubasher Luqman.
Wahab Riaz emphasized, “It is a serious offense to accuse me and my deceased father without any evidence.”
