According to the PMD, a rain-bearing system will enter Pakistan from the western regions tonight, bringing light to heavy rainfall in various parts of the country. The department stated that rain and snowfall will significantly increase the intensity of cold nationwide.

Snowfall Expected in Murree and Galiyat

The PMD said that from December 30 to January 2, Murree and the Galiyat are likely to receive snowfall along with strong winds. Meanwhile, most plain areas of Punjab are expected to experience rain with gusty winds between December 31 and January 1.

He further said that the PDMA control room is monitoring the situation round the clock, and urged people to avoid non-essential travel during adverse weather conditions.

Advisory for Travelers and Tourists
