ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has banned New Year celebrations across the country.
Addressing to the nation, Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar announced a complete ban on all types of events in connection with the New Year celebrations to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Taking to Twitter, he shared a video message urging people to embrace simplicity to express support for the oppressed people of Gaza as the New Year, 2024, approaches.
Anwaar-ul-Haq emphasized the devastating impact of Israeli forces in Palestine, expressing the deep sorrow felt by the Pakistani nation and the Muslim Ummah over the ongoing genocide, particularly the tragic loss of innocent children.

“Since October 7 of this year, over 21,000 Palestinians, including 9,000 children, have fallen victim to Israeli brutality,” stated the Prime Minister.
He affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to raising its voice for the oppressed people of Palestine on various international platforms, pledging to continue these efforts in the future.
