The international community has acknowledged Pakistan’s crucial role in counter-terrorism efforts. Pakistan remains steadfast in its resolve to combat all forms of terrorism.
Gregory D. LoGerfo, the US Acting Coordinator for Counter-Terrorism, praised Pakistan’s measures in the fight against terrorism. He called Pakistan an important partner in global counter-terrorism operations.
LoGerfo emphasized that joint strategies with Pakistan have brought significant successes in combating terrorism. He also warned that ISIS-Khorasan poses a major threat not only to the United States and Central Asia but also to Europe.
Highlighting Pakistan’s commitment, LoGerfo confirmed that Islamabad handed over a highly wanted terrorist to the United States. “Pakistan’s role in counter-terrorism is vital,” he stated.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump had also appreciated Pakistan’s actions in the fight against terrorism. Global recognition of Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts underscores its position as a “net regional stabilizer” in the region.
