PESHAWAR: President of Awami National Party (ANP) Aimal Wali Khan rejected recently announced preliminary delimitation lists, announcing to move the court against fresh delimitation.
While addressing a press conference Aimal Wali Khan stressed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa population was shown less intentionally, which is not acceptable by any means. He said that the delimitation was also changed unnecessary, which will have negative impact on the whole political system.
He pointed out that reducing the number of the national assembly in proportion to population is injustice with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that hundreds of thousands of people had migrated to other provinces due to terrorism, who were ignored in the digital census.
Additionally, he said on one hand the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has no control over its natural resources while on other hand international trade has also been stopped. “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is rich in terms of natural resources but still we have been deprived of our rights,” he said, adding that they would not accept step-motherly treatment with terror affected province.
President ANP Aimal Wali Khan concluded that soon the party will consult other political parties for future line of action in this regard.
